It was beautiful, clean, good shade, toilets was clean, Ranger was nice, the bear proof cabinet was added convenience. How ever the access to the lake was not accessible for a canoe, and was a long steep walk from the tent camping sites. It is a very small lake and looked like only a dock for private home owners and the restaurant had a monopoly on it... I was sure sad that I couldn't get my 17 foot canoe in there... motor boats are not allowed I'm sure...the Flys were horrible around the lake, worse then most lakes we've been to.
Absolutely beautiful. We stayed 4 nights in July 2017 and it was an amazing experience. That being said we tent camped and the tent pads were made of rocks which was extremely uncomfortable, luckily we had plenty of extra sleeping bags to add some cushion. It was very windy at night and half of our tent kept collapsing, we also stayed during a full moon and it was like the sun was still out it was so bright. We brought our 6 year old and he had a great time. The bathrooms are very close to the campsites. We saw no bears, we also caught no fish out in the lake. But we still had a wonderful time and plan to make it our yearly camping spot. Very quiet and the campsites are well spaced out. The host was very nice and helpful. Be sure to drive up the road and check out Bishop's Castle.
Well maintained, beautiful area. Sites above 20 seemed a bit tightly spaced. Plenty do to in the way of fishing and hiking right here.
We love it!!! Beautiful and we have been going there forever. Clean and views are awsome! Fishing is great and little store, restaurant food and people Great!!!! Lake is real close nice little hike. BEAUTIFUL!!! :) :) Happy camper.
